we’re hosting a workshop at the university of liechtenstein on the topic „soundarchitecture – music without laptops“. we built an oakley modular during the week including an mfos sequencer, and the students came up with this fantastic design: a modular synthesizer in an empty oil barrel. this is the top layer, the sequencer, oakley midi interface, oakley little lfo, and a stylophon-style „keyboard“ built from prototypeboard in the center. pictures of the finished unit will follow tomorrow.

it’s called drum herum (which does NOT mean „drums“)
